Ray Potter, CEO of SafeLogic, to Discuss Security Strategies in IoT and Wearable Platforms in San Francisco on June 4th
Palo Alto, CA – June 3, 2014 – SafeLogic, the new industry leader in validated cryptography, is happy to confirm that co-founder Ray Potter will be sharing his expertise at the third annual Tizen Developer Conference in San Francisco. His talk, titled ‘Security-Centric Development for IoT and Wearables’, will be held on Wednesday, June 4 at 10:40 AM at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco.

In ‘Security-Centric Development for IoT and Wearables’, Potter will discuss the need to plan for security within the Tizen ecosystem, sharing worst case scenarios for unsecured IoT and Wearable environments, presenting use cases for including security features at every level of the stack, and offering his expectations for the future of the technology. With his unique expertise in the integration of encryption into mobile, cloud, server, wearable and IoT products, Potter will shed light on the arcane world of crypto, the often-misunderstood cornerstone of every secure deployment. Attendees will also learn about the best practices used in the field to address potential vulnerabilities and technical constraints.
First introduced at Potter’s speaking engagement at the CTIA MobileCon event in October 2013, CryptoCompact is SafeLogic’s newest encryption module. It was designed specifically to bring military grade, FIPS 140-2 validated encryption to wearables and other applications that require a small footprint. This was the inspiration behind Potter’s ‘Crypto for Constrained Devices’ talk at the RSA Conference, his ‘Security Challenges in Wearables’ session at the Wearables DevCon, and this presentation at the Tizen Developer Conference.
