Security Expert Ray Potter Will Present Insights This Week in Santa Clara
Palo Alto, CA – August 19, 2014 – SafeLogic, the company re-inventing how encryption is delivered, is proud to announce that Ray Potter, CEO and co-founder, will speak at the IEEE Wearable Technology Exposition this week in Santa Clara.
IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is the world’s largest technical professional association. The trade group has grown by leaps and bounds since first assembling in 1884, adapting and evolving to keep pace with the technology. While early leadership came from the field of telegraphy, Thomas Edison’s influence led the group to embrace the power sector, and Alexander Graham Bell brought the telephone industry to relevance in the association. The 1963 merger of the then-AIEE (American Institute of Electrical Engineers) and the IRE (Institute of Radio Engineers) created today’s international IEEE and reflected the major convergence of tech that has carried us to the present day.
This week’s Wearable Technology Exposition continues the tradition of IEEE’s interest in new, cutting edge techniques and products. The mission of this event is to educate members who are contemplating entry into the wearables market, providing expertise on the building blocks of these devices.
In ‘Security Software for Wearable Devices’, scheduled for 11:40 AM at Texas Instruments’ Santa Clara campus, Ray Potter will address the challenges and issues surrounding security and encryption for wearables. By building on their success in the mobile sector, SafeLogic’s CEO will offer insights to help attendees strategize for the evolving and soon-to-be-critical wearable device landscape.
