BlackBerry is one of the most recognizable brands in mobility, fueled by their popular early hardware offerings.  Today, the Canadian company has reinvented themselves with software, led by their popular BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES).  Their acquisition of SafeLogic customer Good Technology for $425 million USD in September 2015 (which included Fixmo, another SafeLogic customer) reinforced their leadership in mobile enablement and security.

With their newest handset, the Priv, BlackBerry has entered new territory, running Android as the operating system on the phone.  In their words, by incorporating the "full ecosystem of Android and its apps, it’s the best of both worlds."  With some of the most loyal and vocal users in the industry, many of them true believers in the tactile keyboard that became their signature feature, it's a bold but justifiable statement. While the total user base is still significantly down from their 2012 peak, profit has begun to climb again and the future is bright for the pride of Waterloo!

SafeLogic is proud to call BlackBerry a customer and to continue working with valued former Good Technology and Fixmo personnel during their efforts to unify product lines.
